Ministry Plus Solutions Inc. ("Ministry Plus", "we", "us") operates the website at hapgraph.com and publishes the HapGraph application for macOS. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Scope

This policy covers two things:

The website — the marketing site at hapgraph.com.
The HapGraph app — the macOS application you download and run on your own Mac.

It does not cover third-party services we link to, each of which has its own policy (see Service providers below).

Information we collect

On the website

The website has no accounts, no sign-in, and no comment or contact forms. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. [VERIFY: confirm this remains true if analytics is added later — see the analytics decision in docs/open-threads.md.]

Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and user-agent) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms.

In the HapGraph app

Your documents stay on your device. HapGraph is a local markup tool. The passages, drawings, and slides you create are stored on your Mac and are not transmitted to us.
License activation. When you unlock the app with a license key, the key and a device identifier are sent to our licensing provider, LicenseSpring, to validate the license. We do not receive your document content as part of this.
Diagnostics. [VERIFY whether the app sends any crash reports or usage telemetry. If it does, describe what is collected and how to opt out. If it does not, state that plainly.]

When you buy a license

Purchases are processed by Stripe through a hosted payment page. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe and our licensing provider, LicenseSpring, receive the information needed to complete the sale and deliver your key — typically your email address and billing details you provide at checkout.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

deliver and secure the website;
validate license keys and deliver purchased licenses;
respond to support requests you send to support@hapgraph.com; and
meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of third parties to run HapGraph. Each processes data under its own terms:

Some of these providers are located in the United States, so completing a purchase or activating a license may involve transferring information outside Canada. Where that happens, the information is protected under the provider's terms and applicable law.

Retention

We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to support your license and to meet legal and accounting requirements [VERIFY retention period]. Support emails are retained for [RETENTION PERIOD] and then deleted.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you may, subject to legal limits, ask us to:

confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide access to it;
correct information that is inaccurate; or
withdraw consent to a use we have described here.

To make a request, email support@hapgraph.com. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
